Online sales is not widely taught in business schools or most entrepreneur training programs.

It’s one of those competencies we’re expected to figure out, but without a sales 101 course to kick us off, and a super fragmented startup education space, it’s hard to find sales guidance for those of us who have an online business and need to sell our product and services without being super salesy, scammy, or bland.

We run human-centered brands that have personality and aren’t trying to milk people for every dollar they’ve got. We’re looking to learn sales the non-used-car-salesman way.

This is a problem many entrepreneurs have trouble solving, especially BIPOC women that are short on the financial resources, mentors, and social capital to find the support they need.

The Sales Mastery Scholarship invites BIPOC (black, indigenous, person of color) women entrepreneurs to apply to receive free enrollment in Sales Mastery, an online course that helps business owners increase their sales through thoughtful marketing strategy and proven sales psychology.

Sales Mastery has helped numerous women entrepreneurs go from side hustle to full-time business owners through conversion-oriented marketing and sales that positions their brand with a unique voice, and arms them with the formulas they need to sell their products or services online.

Graduates of Sales Mastery have seen an increase in their sales within weeks of starting the course.

If you’re a BIPOC women entrepreneur with financial and social barriers to receiving the education you need to build a profitable business, you’re invited to apply.

About Your Teacher, Sophia

Hey I’m Sophia Sunwoo, the founder of Ascent Strategy and the one guiding you through the Sales Mastery Scholarship. I’ll be facilitating the group calls to help apply the course materials to your business and answer any questions.

I sold my first company at the age of 22, am a third-time entrepreneur, and have been in the startup game for 16 years. I’ve been named a Forbes 30 Under 30, received the Fred Alger Finance Award, and was a pitch finalist at ELLE Magazine’s Impact Awards.

I’ve been in the weeds building my own startups since I was 19, so my expertise goes beyond theory. I’ve sold products and services both the old school and new school way — in-person at high-traffic events, to building relationships with retailers, and online.

Selling in-person and online are two completely different animals that require nuance and tact so I’m excited to share my experience with you to help your business thrive.
